800 METROS BARREL SELECTION

VARIETY  CABERNET SAUVIGNON (100%)

ORIGIN  Pique, Maipo Valley. Chile

VINEYARDS

Cabernet Sauvignon grapes come from our vineyard located in the Pirque area, in Alto Maipo, at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. The vines grow on a gentle slope of clay loam soil that descends to the Rio Maipo. The influence of the river and the altitude (800 meters), determined in mild springs and bright summers but moderate in temperature, allowing a very slow ripening of the grapes. This condition gives delicate floral fruity aromas to the grapes.

TASTING NOTES

The wine presents an attractive cherry red color. The aroma is intense, complex and elegant,   reminiscent of ripe red fruits like cherry, red plum and cassis, along with notes of tobacco and slightly smoky brought by the 14 months aging in French and American Oak barrels. This wine has a rich aroma, with abundant ripe tannins and fine persistence. Its special features will be increasingly refined with time in the bottle.

SERVE :

17ºC. We recommend it for accompanying red meats or spicy and savory dishes, or you can   simply enjoy it with good cheeseS
